Slovenia: Four Qualify to the Final!

Last night, the first semi-final of Slovenia’s Eurovision selection EMA took place, where a total of eight acts performed for four spots in the EMA final. The show also featured 2016 participant ManuElla, who performed during the show.

Here are the 8 semi-finalists:

  1. King Foo – Wild Ride

  2. Nika Zorjan – Fse

  3. Tosca Beat – Free World

  4. Lea Sirk – Freedom

  5. Sell Out – Ni Panike

  6. Zala Đurić Ribič – Lalalatino

  7. Alya – Halo

  8. Omar Naber – On My Way

The public and jury both had a say in the results, with two acts qualifying due to public vote, and two were sent into the final from jury votes.

Here are the qualifiers:

Omar Naber has participated at Eurovision before, back in 2005 where he performed the song Stop. He has also since attempted to participate again in Eurovision four more times, three times in the Slovenian selections and once for Switzerland. This will be his fifth try to get back into Eurovision, and he still has the opportunity as he is in the final due to tonight’s results!

The second semi-final will take place tonight with 8 more acts. The show begins at 20:00 CET and is able to be watched on the website of the broadcaster RTVSLO.
